re: that game.
Here we go, here we go.
● Marie's decision to place all fifteen on Tiger's Eye was absolutely selfish. If someone had placed a few points more on Coral, then the game might have been over before she and Ginshu walked in. If the game continued on for another round and they had been hit hard in the second, Marie could potentially have been left with the dead bodies of all her teammates . . . Neither of these options is good. Granted, she would have liked for it never to have happened at all, but she can't run away from the truth that much. So, Marie did what she truly hoped someone would do for her—End it quick. She didn't think much beyond wanting to get away from the situation, either by death or the end of the game, so that she didn't have to face it anymore.
● However, she doesn't feel bad for Tiger's Eye . . . Nor is she mad at anyone else! She tried to commit an act of mercy for them. If they don't see it that way, then that's for them to deal with. Yes, she didn't really think it through nor consider what they might want, but if anyone expected her to be calm and rational in that situation, then they can go right ahead and play that game again. As for everyone else . . . Well, yes, they are why her teammates were hurt, but they didn't realize it. Everyone got a wake-up call with that game, so she won't hold it against them. If this happens again though? Well, then there will be French hell to pay. Coral was given a Second Chance, and Marie will not squander it. When it comes to games and the like, she will not play around and she will not be tolerant. Marie is shaken, but she won't forget.
● . . . Except where she is going to try to. Marie doesn't want to talk about the game at all. She mentioned it with her teammates for a bit before eventually pulling the conversation away from it. Fetch came up to her, and she immediately shut him out, though. She doesn't want to think about it; she is going to act like it never happened. It was a horrible event, and Marie defaults to distraction and evasion when it comes whatever she finds distasteful. It's just how she is going to roll, and she will not tolerate people who don't get the hint that she is done with that game.
● Hilariously, she got an absolutely wonderful memory to distract herself with because of the game. She's not going to come anywhere close to connecting acting the way she did to getting rewards, but it is a really good distraction that she will see no problem with indulging in. However, Marie is growing more and more hesitant to embrace regaining her memories and the games now . . . But the one she got is enough to keep her somewhat open to the thought. Figuring out that she can't protect her teammates without being present is a realization for another day, however.
